Congressional Race Ratings – September 23rd

Changes this week:

In CD-6 Democrat Heather Beaven is still a prohibitive underdog against Republican nominee Ron DeSantis. But Beaven has gotten high profile endorsements lately including former President Bill Clinton and is raising money decently. This seat is still overwhelmingly GOP performing and should favor any Republican. However, we’ve moved this from Safe Republican to Likely Republican.

In CD-7, despite decent performance numbers and changing demographics, Rep. John Mica is just too strong to be defeated by any challenger of either party. Democrat Jason Kendall would have had a shot, perhaps a good shot against Sandy Adams, but against Mica he’s toast. We’re moving this from Likely Republican to Safe Republican.
