The Political Hurricane is an independent politics and public-affairs publication built on a historic political domain and brand.

ThePoliticalHurricane.com previously hosted an independent political publication during the 2010s. The domain later changed hands. The current site is not presented as a continuation of the former editorial team.

Today, The Political Hurricane covers politics, government, elections, public policy and political history at its core, with broader coverage of money, technology, work, business, home and consumer issues where they are useful to the same audience.

What we cover

Our editorial core is politics, elections, government, legislatures, public policy and political history. Around that core, we publish explanatory and service journalism on issues such as money, technology, work, housing, insurance and consumer decisions.

Why the archive matters

The earlier Political Hurricane was cited by newspapers, political publications, blogs and other outlets. Rather than erase that history, we preserve historically significant articles at their original dates and, wherever practical, their original URLs.

Historical articles are clearly labelled and remain separate from current editorial work. Their preservation does not imply that the present publication endorses the opinions, endorsements or political positions expressed in them.
