Editorial Policy
The Political Hurricane publishes sourced, useful coverage of politics, public affairs and the practical issues that surround them.
Sourcing
For current factual reporting and explainers, we prefer primary records, official agencies, legislation, public data, court records, first-party documentation and reputable reporting. Where a claim is disputed or interpretive, we identify the source rather than presenting an interpretation as settled fact.
Voice and substance
We aim to explain how institutions work in practice, not merely paraphrase official webpages. Articles should add context, history, examples, procedural detail or clearly identified analysis where the subject supports it.
Political coverage
New political coverage is informational rather than electoral advocacy. We compare documented positions, records, actions and policy effects without endorsing candidates, parties, ballot choices or political outcomes.
Historical archive
ThePoliticalHurricane.com previously hosted a different political publication. The domain later changed hands, and the current Political Hurricane is a new publication rather than a continuation of the former editorial team.
Restored articles retain their original publication dates and are marked as archive material. Historical commentary reflects the context in which it was originally written and should not be read as a current editorial position. Missing historical material is not reconstructed from inference. See our Site History & Archive Notice.
Commercial and affiliate coverage
Commercial guides are written to answer a genuine reader need. Affiliate relationships do not determine editorial conclusions, and affiliate links are disclosed where they appear. Political coverage and historical archive material are kept editorially distinct from commercial content.
Updates
Evergreen guides may be updated when laws, official guidance, product availability or other relevant facts change. Material corrections are handled under our Corrections Policy.
