Corrections Policy
Accuracy matters. When we identify a material factual error, we correct it as promptly as practical.
Current articles
Minor spelling, grammar and formatting fixes may be made without a note. Material factual corrections should be accompanied by a clear correction or update note where that context would help readers understand what changed.
Historical archive articles
Archive material is treated differently. We preserve the historical record rather than silently rewriting old commentary with modern hindsight. If an archived article contains a factual error that requires clarification, we may add an editor’s note while keeping the original historical text identifiable.
